We check the five parts below. Each gets up to 20 points. All five count the same. If we cannot check a part, we skip it instead of giving it zero. We take the average of the parts we can check, then multiply it by five to give a score out of 100.
Can the reader quickly tell what you mean and why it matters?
Is the next step clear? This is often called a “call to action,” or CTA.
Does this email make sense for the person who gets it and what you want them to do?
Do the facts you shared back up the claims, offers and deadlines in your email?
Can people read the email and spot the important parts? We need a screenshot to score how it looks.
For each part: 0–4 means it needs major fixes; 5–9 means it needs work; 10–14 means there is room to improve; 15–17 means it works well with a few changes; and 18–20 means it is very clear. “Brilliant” and “Good choice” mark what works. “Missed chance” marks a useful fix. “Check this” flags a claim you have not backed up or a poor fit for your goal. These labels rate the email, not its sales results.
